Trump the
"bean counter”.
Tokyo, December

You can’t run a
government as an owner operated business. Like Trump wants to run America. The
government is if so similar to a business. Is a public corporation. The CEO “president”
is accountable in front of the board of trustees “Congress” and the share
holders “Voters”. Corporations can’t be run by accountants “bean counters”
only. The CEO must look at the big picture. Case and point. GM was in trouble
and was taken over by accountants “bean counters” as per a court order. The
accountants “bean counters” looked at the books. What is this? An engine belt
manufacturing factory, losing 2 million dollars a year. Accountings “bean
counting” makes sense, if it is losing money, sell it. Six months down the road.
A GM car assembly plants calls GM HQ and asks? Where are the belts? What belts?
We had a GM plant that supplied us with engine belts. It stopped supplying us,
why? They looked at the books, and discovered that “the “bean counters” sold it
because it was "losing money”. The question now is, where do we get belts from?
They contacted the new owners of the factory. Can you supply GM with belts? Yes
but we have orders for belts ahead of you and it will cost you 3 $ per belt. They looked at the books again. When the belt
factory was GM owned, it is true that it was losing money, but the belts cost
GM 90 cents. Now that they have sold it, it will cost GM 3$ per belt. In
addition the supply is not guaranteed. It is on the open market. Subject to
supply and demand, market fluctuations and rules. This is exactly how Trump
wants to run America and in particular America’s foreign policy. There would be
a small country, that America is helping, let say with 500 million dollars of
aid a year. Trump is going to cut that aid. Questioning why are we giving them
500 million dollars of aid per year for nothing. Six months down the
road. There would be a crucial vote in the UN. That country will vote against
the US. The career officers at the state department will look into it and find
out. There was an agreement between the US and that country, aid in lieu of the
vote. That vote could have been to start or stop a nuclear war.
